JP Stevenson Signs National Letter of Intent with Canuis College

Southpaw JP Stevenson former alumni of EBA's Winter Training Program and Pitchers Bootcamp, has officially signed his National Letter of Intent with Canisius College while accepting an athletic scholarship to attend Canisius College Golden Griffins in Buffalo, New York. The Golden Griffins are the defending champion of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and fresh off an NCAA Regional appearance.

Stevenson is currently attending Vauxhall Academy of Baseball where he will finish up his grade 12 year in June of 2014. Wanting to develop his game Stevenson moved away from home and out to Alberta at the ripe age of 15 where he would join the Vauxhall Academy of Baseball.

Between his tenure at EBA and Vauxhall, Stevenson has achieved many accomplishments which include playing as an under-ager on the PEI Canada Cup Team (Youth Selects) in 2011, and Top Pitcher at the 2012 Canada cup in London, ON. This was followed by an impressive showing in his first Fall season at Vauxhall where he went the whole Fall season without giving up a walk. Stevenson’s achievements didn’t stop there as he was invited to a Team Canada tryout camp in Boston, Mass which eventually led to a roster spot on the Canadian Junior National Team who competed at the World Cup in Taiwan. His most recent accomplishment came when displaying his talent on the mound of Rogers Centre during Tournament 12 where he earned the victory against a powerhouse Ontario team.

As a result of hard work, dedication, passion and many hours developing his abilities JP Stevenson will now continue to work towards new goals as a Golden Griffin with Canuis College starting in the Fall of 2015.

EBA would like to wish JP the best of luck throughout his college career as he works to further himself in the game of baseball through his academics.
