EBA Hands out Awards

May 26th, 2011

After the completion of Eastern Baseball Academy’s 7-month Winter Training Program from October to April, EBA handed out awards to the most outstanding players.

Eastern Baseball Academy handed out awards for Hardest Worker, Top Defensive Player and Top Offensive Player.

The Top Offensive Player Award
Myles McInnis of Charlottetown

The Top Offensive Player award went to Myles McInnis of Charlottetown. McInnis showed strong determination to get every swing right and was willing to make adjustments in his swing to increase his chances of hitting the baseball more consistently. McInnis had the ability to make adjustments from swing to swing, which really helped him hit more line drives while hitting the ball harder on a consistent basis.

The Top Defensive Player Award
Jeremy Koughan of Cornwall

Jeremy has shown an eager ability to get better every day and put 100% effort into upgrading his defensive skills. He is also a 2nd-year player of the 7-month Winter Training Program, who has also shown a tremendous change for the better in all of his skills on the diamond, and has really developed himself into a player for people to focus on in the near future.

The Hardest Worker Award
Taylor Larkin of Morell

The Hardest Worker award was offered to Taylor Larkin of Morell. Larkin, also a 2nd-year player of the 7-month Winter Training Program, has drastically improved his skills over the past 2 years, and has shown to Eastern Baseball Academy that he is more determined then ever to move on to the highest level of baseball available in his young playing career. Larkin has impressed instructors by always asking questions about how to further develop his skills. He also asks for further training time and for continuous video analysis so he can study his own skills and see where changes need to be made.

We are pleased to announce the above recipients and would like to congratulate them on their performances during the Winter Training Program. We hope to see these players, as well as others, take on the challenge of developing their skills through the Eastern Baseball Academy.
