JJ Oram from Summerside, PEI will be heading west this fall to join friend, former teammate and former EBA LHP JP Stevenson at Vauxhall Academy of Baseball to finish his grade 11 & 12 years of High School.

Oram has spent the last two winters under the roof of EBA developing as a person, his fielding abilities and creating a more consistent approach at the plate. Over the past two years EBA have watched JJ go from a very raw player with lots of athletic ability to a mature player who now understands the game of baseball and how it is supposed to played while putting those raw athletic abilities to work.

Les McTavish (Head Coach at Vauxhall) is extremely excited to get Oram on his roster for the 2013-2014 season as he expressed greatly at the 2012 Canada Cup and also on his recruiting trip to EBA back in February of this year.

“It will be scary to see how much JJ will develop once he gets a chance to swing and take ground balls everyday. He has a very high ceiling with lots of potential but it will be up to him to put in the work ethic and countless hours of development to improve his game on and off the diamond.” states Coach Jason Monaghan.

Coach Monaghan and the rest of the staff at EBA wish JJ all the best during his time at Vauxhall and can’t wait to see him grow and move onto the collegiate level. He has a bright future ahead of him.
