EBA SOUTHPAW EARNS MVP HONOURS AT NATIONAL SHOWCASE

EBA Southpaw JP Stevenson recently competed at the 2012 Baseball Canada Cup in London, Ontario where the top players across Canada aged 15-17 years old showcase their abilities to onlooking scouts, Collegiate and High School reps.

Stevenson was a name to watch by fans, players and scouts in attendance as he took home the Top Pitcher Award at the Canada Cup for his performance over two complete games, one against Nova Scotia and the other against the unexpected strong performance of NFLD. Over these two complete games combined Stevenson had an ERA of just 1.00 with only 6 total hits allowed while striking out 13 batters and walking only 3 over his 14 innings pitched. He was able to muster up enough velocity to top out at 82 mph on the radar guns while only throwing 172 pitches in the 14 innings on the mound. Being only 15 years old this leaves JP much room to improve on his current abilities and make his future much brighter.

JP Stevenson has spent his last two years developing his delivery at EBA in our Pitchers Bootcamp which is a 4 month long camp running from January to April of each year and is really the place to be for any Pitcher wanting to improve velocity, control and develop a smooth delivery to move on to the next level as did the 15 year old Stevenson who will be attending Vauxhall Academy in the 2 weeks where he will see his abilities take another step as he will get the chance to develop on and everyday basis.

EBA would like to take this time to thank JP Stevenson for his hard work over the last 2 years and we look forward to developing many more pitchers in an attempt to help them move up to the next level.

GOOD LUCK AT THE NEXT LEVEL IN VAUXHALL ACADEMY!
